While in law school, Mr. Lebair was the recipient of the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence and the CALI Award in Torts. Mr. Lebair also received a Dean’s Award for Best Memorandum in Legal Methods. Mr. Lebair additionally participated in both Moot Court and Mock Trial competitions while studying law at the University of Memphis. Mr. Lebair also authored a successful brief to the Tennessee Court of Appeals, reversing the decision of a Shelby County trial court while serving as a law clerk during law school. Mr. Lebair’s brief and the Tennessee Court of Appeal opinion based on the brief, helped define the issue of duty in premises liability cases in Tennessee. At Rhodes College, Mr. Lebair was inducted into the Sigma Iota Rho Honor Society for International Studies/Relations. Mr. Lebair also served as Marshall and Lieutenant Commander (Vice President) of the Epsilon Sigma Chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity at Rhodes College. Finally, Mr. Lebair was a member of the Rhodes College Rugby Football Club.
Professional: Tennessee Bar Association and Memphis Bar Association. Mr. Lebair is a graduate of the 2009 Memphis Bar Association Trial Academy. Mr. Lebair practices in a variety of areas, including construction law, commercial litigation, premises liability defense, insurance coverage disputes, catastrophic personal injury defense, commercial and residential landlord-tenant litigation and insurance defense litigation. Mr. Lebair has successfully defended and prosecuted multiple cases at the trial level and has submitted multiple briefs for consideration of the Tennessee Court of Appeals and Tennessee Supreme Court. In 2012, Mr. Lebair was selected by Mid-South Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in the area of construction law.
