Mr. Gresham has been privileged to represent many of the nation’s best known insurance companies and corporations in a variety of cases throughout his career. He has an active and successful trial practice where he has been lead counsel in both federal and state court where he has tried over 40 cases to verdict. As a highly respected and successful Rule 31 Certified Mediator, he has resolved countless state and federal cases with difficult issues and high exposure.
Mr. Gresham is a frequent lecturer for corporations, clients, lawyers and insurance companies on a variety of topics including damages in Tennessee Civil Trial Practice, Affirmative Defenses in Workers’ Compensation, Voir Dire Strategy, Ethical Conduct in Depositions, Closing Arguments, and Recent Development in Insurance Law. He has been the guest of Metropolitan Property and Casualty Insurance Company where he discussed successful claim handling practices and other insurance related issues.
He has served as Director, Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President and President of the Memphis Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Division. He is a member of the American Inn of Courts, Leo Bearman, Sr. Chapter and has worked with the Lawyers Helping Lawyers Program. Mr. Gresham has been a member of the Memphis Bar Association Bench – Bar Committee where he has served as Co-Chairman and Chairman of the Annual Bench Bar Conference. Recently, Mr. Gresham was chosen by his peers to participate in the Tennessee Bar Association Law Leadership Class. He was inducted into the Memphis Bar Foundation in 2008.
Community: Mr. Gresham is currently serving on the University of Memphis Law Alumni Association Board of Directors. He has been a frequent guest lecturer at various elementary, middle and high schools throughout West Tennessee where he has discussed the legal profession with students of all ages. He has also been active in the SCALES Program, a program designed to bring the Tennessee Supreme Court to high school classrooms so that high school students can experience an actual argument before the Tennessee Supreme Court. A political enthusiast, Mr. Gresham has been actively involved in the successful campaigns of many members of the Shelby County judiciary. He has also been a volunteer assistant basketball coach for a local junior high team.
